The Springfusor^® is a new syringe infusion pump designed for simplicity in use for continuous or intermittent small volume infusions and is made in Australia. It consists of a spring-driven cartridge that drives a syringe. There is no risk of drugs being accidentally downloaded as with electronic pumps. It requires no electricity or batteries. The output from the syringe is controlled by a short length of narrow bore Flow Control Tubing (FCT).

Indications for use:

• Suitable for intermittent or continuous infusion of small volumes when fluid restriction or slow controlled infusion is used
• Can be set up for bolus injections and to replace mini-bags and burettes or in certain situations, gravity lines and to replace electronic pumps.
