L-Mesitran® Border
|

L-Mesitran® Border consists of a combined hydrogel and honey pad
on a strong fixation layer. It is ideal for those difficult locations where regular
dressings do not adhere or where mobility is key. L-Mesitran® Border
is also perfectly suited for those wounds that need to have the exudate locked away
and absorbed, preventing maceration and odour. L-Mesitran® Border also shows its
qualities when the dressed wound is in contact with water e.g. showering, incontinence
etc. The dressing will adhere even in the wettest conditions.

L-Mesitran® Hydro
|
|
L-Mesitran® Hydro is an advanced wound dressing that combines the
wound healing properties of honey with the advantages of a hydrogel dressing. It
is the primary dressing for the treatment of burns, skin tears, ulcers and acute
trauma wounds. The thin honey-hydrogel layer in this medical device is capable of
absorbing 5 times its own weight of wound fluid and does not disintegrate. It will
follow the contours of the wound and keeps contact with the wound surface. L-Mesitran®
Hydro provides an ideal healing environment with less pain, reduction of inflammation
and L-Mesitran® Hydro promotes a moist healing environment. The honey in the hydrogel
will kill bacteria and fungi and will prevent further contamination or growth. This
activity is due to the high osmotic properties of honey and makes L-Mesitran®
Hydro the first antibacterial hydrogel sheet.

L-Mesitran® Net
|
|
L-Mesitran® Net has a unique design. The open weave net in this
medical device allows for passage of wound exudates to be absorbed by a secondary
dressing, avoiding maceration of the surrounding tissue. The hydrogel in L-Mesitran®
Net holds the honey in a polymer network and humectant, providing a
moist wound environment. The honey will kill bacteria and fungi and will prevent
further contamination or growth. This activity is due to the high osmotic properties
of honey and makes L-Mesitran® Net a valuable member of the L-Mesitran®
antibacterial hydrogel family.
