Duramatrix
Collagen Dura Substitute Membrane
|
|
Stryker's craniomaxillofacial line offers a dural replacement for repair of the
dura mater. DuraMatrix is a conformable and resorbable membrane
matrix engineered from highly purified type I collagen. It has a thickness similar
to native dura, has excellent handling characteristics, is flexible and conforms
to the contour of the defect site.
|
|
|
Key features and benefits:
- Balanced resorption
- Does not require removal
- Facilitates balanced healing and regeneration of host tissue
- Doesn’t tear
- Can cut it wet and dry
- Less waste, more efficient in placement of graft
- Doesn’t swell
- Easy to use, reversible – no wrong or right size
- Flexible
- Highly purified form of collagen, derived from Bovine Collagen, from the Achilles
Tendon of New Zealand cows
- Pricing is very competitive
- Can be sutured in place.
Available in the following sizes:
1 in x 1 in (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm)
2 in x 2 in (5 cm x 5 cm)
3 in x 3 in (7.5 cm x 7.5 cm)

Dynamic Mesh
Titanium Mesh for bridging defects of the skull
|
|
Dynamic Mesh has optimal properties to facilitate unparalleled
three dimensional contouring while maintaining adequate rigidity for bone defects
of varied size and location.
|
|
|
Key features and benefits:
- Defect-bridging reconstruction of non-load bearing bony structures
- Can be easily and accurately contoured to most anatomical structures without wrinkles
- Easy to cut, and requires no special templates or bending instruments
- Low profile height
- Can be anchored to the orbital rim with bone screws to prevent implant migration
- Titanium implant has superior biocompatibility and produces negligible artifact
in CT, MRI, and X-ray
- Screw Design is specifically designed for the hard cranial bone structure
- Plated tabs serve as assistance to placement of the plate whilst placing the first
screws
- Precision manufacturing creates the firm friction fit connection between the blade
- Neurosurgeons involved in early clinical evaluation of the implants rated screw
pick up insertion as excellent.

Medpor | Is a biocompatible Porous Polyethelene material made up into implants for reconstruction and augmentation. The interconnecting omnidirectional pore structure may allow for fibrovascular in-growth and tissue integration. Features and benefits: - It is easy to work with. The material may be trimmed with a blade, carved and feathered for an excellent fit.
- Medpor can be easily drilled and fixated and is designed to accept screws and plates without cracking.
- Medpor implants can be cut with a variety of surgical instruments and the implant maintains the interconnectivity and structure of the pores.
- The implants are provided sterile.
Types of implants include: - Orbital Rim
- Midface contour & Rim
- Malar implants
- Nasal
- Chin
- Mandibular
- Ear

Hydroset
|
Is an injectable fast setting osteoconductive Hydroxyapatite (HA) bone substitute. It is designed to set under normal body wet field conditions and produces Hydroxyapatite as the final product.
The setting reaction is nonexothermic therefore no potentially damaging heat is released to the surrounding tissue.
The product injects easily through a small gauge cannula. It also promotes bony in growth and provides an x-ray visible, osteoconductive scaffold with optimised properties for filling skeletal defects.
HydroSet is a self-setting, calcium phosphate cement intended for use in the repair of neurosurgical burr holes, contiguous craniotomy cuts and other cranial defects as well as in the augmentation or restoration of bony contour in the craniofacial skeleton.
HydroSet is indicated to fill bony voids or gaps of the skeletal system (i.e. extremities, craniofacial, spine, and pelvis). HydroSet is indicated only for bony voids or gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure.
