Introduction:

Go Medical Industries (Pty) Ltd was established in 1986 with the aim of producing innovative products to improve common medical procedures. Go Medical research is based on the view that medical practitioners, patients and medical technology companies are inter-related entities. They co-exist because one relies on the other.

Go Medical has its head offices in Subiaco, Western Australia as well as three associated offices and offices/factories in the eastern states of Australia, Europe and Asia.

The Springfusor® is a new syringe infusion pump designed for simplicity in use for continuous or intermittent small volume infusions and is made in Australia. It consists of a spring-driven cartridge that drives a syringe. There is no risk of drugs being accidentally downloaded as with electronic pumps. It requires no electricity or batteries. The output from the syringe is controlled by a short length of narrow bore Flow Control Tubing (FCT).

Indications for use:

  • Suitable for intermittent or continuous infusion of small volumes when fluid restriction or slow controlled infusion is used.
  • Can be set up for bolus injections and to replace minibags and burettes or in certain situations, gravity lines and to replace electronic pumps.

FEATURES:

SAFETY, MOBILITY, COST EFFECTIVENESS in the ward or at home.

Safety:

  • Spring driven therefore more accurate than gravity infusions.
  • Easy to use and setup in the ward or for home use. No programming necessary therefore it is not subject to human error at the time of setting up infusions.

Mobility:

  • Portable and compact.
  • Requires no batteries or electricity.

Cost Effectiveness :

  • Re-usable.
  • Time saving versus bolus injections.
  • 10 ml and 30 ml versions available. Flow rate determined by choice of tubing
    (FCT tubing only).
  • Removes the need to use a bag system as it can be used directly.
